Tags are a way of categorising the information that you post. You can give multiple tags for any given post, as long as they are relevant. This can be a useful way of identifying specific issues or debates that happen across different topics and forums.

For example, someone who wrote about laws relating to inclusion in Delhi will be discussing in the “inclusion” forum. At the same time, another person may be discussing how Delhi plans to integrate children out of school into the schooling system. This discussion will happen in the “children out of school” forum. If both of them tag their posts with “Delhi”, a reader who is interested in Delhi related issues will be immediately able to see both of them, even though the discussions take place in different forums.

For this to happen, it is important that people use the same tags. For example, if one person gave “RTE Act” as a tag, and another person gave “Right to Education Act”, the computer will understand them to be two different topics, even though they talk exactly on similar lines. So, please check available tags before you give yours.
